Welcome to My Indian stamps, first-day covers and postcards gallery. These items have all been collected by me since the age of seven. My desire here, is to show as often as I can, some of my presumed beauties and talk about them. And hopefully make Your Day in the bargain. In case you want a better view, JUST CLICK on the picture and it will be ENLARGED. Children's Day 1978
On the occasion of Children's Day 1978, the Indian Post & Telegraphs Department brought out a commemorative postage stamp depicting a painting by a child. The stamp has for its motif a painting titled “TWO FRIENDS” by 10-year old Master Dinesh of Dehradun. The First Day Cover depicts a painting titled “Procession” done by 12-year old Kumari Sudha Reddy of Hyderabad. These paintings are reproduced by the courtesy of Shankar’s International Children’s Competition (1977).
