India Security Press is a government press in India where items like passports, visas, postage stamps, post cards, inland letters, envelopes, non-postal adhesives, court fees, fiscal, and hundi stamps are printed. Nashik is also well known place for many reasons. One of those reasons is the security press located in Nashik. The Indian security press is a unit of security printing and minting corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL) which is wholly owned company of government of India. This is under the administrative control of a general manager who is the head of department and also ex-officio controller of stamps in India. It was established in the year 1928. It was the first printing press for bank notes in India. By 1932, this press was printing the entire spectrum of Indian currency notes.

Indian Security Press is a very large industrial organisation and this is the only organisation in India and one of the few organisation in the world.
