Welcome to My Indian stamps, first-day covers and postcards gallery. These items have all been collected by me since the age of seven. My desire here, is to show as often as I can, some of my presumed beauties and talk about them. And hopefully make Your Day in the bargain. In case you want a better view, JUST CLICK on the picture and it will be ENLARGED. Please also see my picture postcards blog www.mypicturepostcards.blogspot.in, and also my stamps blog www.letstalkstamps.blogspot.com.

Children's day 1977 14.11.1977
On the occasion of Children's day in 1977, the Indian Posts and Telegraphs Department issued a set of two postage stamps depicting children's paintings. The 25 paisa stamp has for its motif a painting titled "CATS" done by 5 year-old Nikur Dilipbhai Mody while the Re1.00 stamp reproduces a painting titled "FRIENDS" done by 7 year-old Bhavar Ashish Ramanlal both of Ahmedabad. These paintings have been reproduced by courtesy of Shankar's International Children's Competition (1976).
