International Union of Railways - Golden Jubilee

The UIC (French: Union internationale des chemins de fer), or International Union of Railways, is an international rail transport industry body. The UIC's mission is "to promote rail transport at world level and meet the challenges of mobility and sustainable development."

The International Union of Railways, otherwise known as UIC was founded in 1922. Its objective is to standardize and improve on the railways with special regard to International traffic.

The stamp depicts a tract layout of a Railway yard wired for electric traction with its control offices and other allied operation facilities.
