Children's day commemoration stamp November 14, 1964. The Posts and Telegraphs Department has, since the year 1957, been bringing out special stamps to mark Children's Day each year on the 14th November.
The special stamp issued in 1964 commemorates not only Children's Day but also the seventy-fifth birth anniversary of the late Prime Minister. The design of the stamp has been adapted from the commemorative coin of the denomination of one rupee, which was separately issued on the 14th November 1964. The stamp bears the inscription 'Chacha Nehru' (uncle Nehru) at the top and 'Bal Din' (Children's Day) below it.
